A screw compressor consists of a pair of parallel, intermeshing male and female screws and is the most widely used type of rotary compressor. It can be divided into single-screw and twin-screw types, and the screw compressor usually refers to the twin-screw compressor. Screw compressors can also be dry or wet. The so-called dry type means that no liquid is sprayed into the working chamber, so the compressed gas is not contaminated. The wet type refers to spraying lubricating oil or other liquids into the working chamber to cool the compressed gas, improve sealing, lubricate the male and female rotors and bearings, achieve self-driving, and then remove oil or other liquid impurities from the compressed air through a high-precision filter to obtain higher-quality compressed gas. The dry type is generally used in occasions where the gas quality requirements are extremely high and the gas volume requirement is not large; the dry screw has a complex structure, is difficult to maintain, noisy, and expensive. The wet type is widely used, has a simple structure, is easy to maintain, stable and reliable, and is commonly used in aerodynamics engineering.

5. Multiphase transport: There is actually a gap between rotor teeth, allowing it to withstand liquid impact and compress gas containing liquids, dusty gas, or easily polymerizable gases.

6. Slide valve flow regulation: No need for recirculation, which can effectively reduce energy consumption.
